Process reliability
The right handpiece for each application
Enhanced surface quality
The all-rounder
The ROTOmax 4.2 TWIN is suitable for processing and finishing the surface of metal workpieces in multi-shift operation. In particular, it supports manufacturers of machines and apparatus for food and pharmaceuticals as well as companies for kitchen construction. Whether for grinding, polishing, deburring or cutting, the modular and powerful drive unit is versatile.
The advantages
Functionality
- Thanks to its modularity, the ROTOmax 4.2 TWIN offers the right handpiece for every application and enables very fast changeover of the machine.
- The five freely programmable speeds avoid errors due to incorrect settings, ensure a regular grinding pattern and save time.
- The DC motor ensures a constant speed even under high load, thus increasing the surface quality. Because it is dust and splash-proof, it can also be used in demanding environments.
- Operation with intelligent interface is simple and intuitive.
Flexibility
- The two flexible shaft connections shorten the process times and allow all process steps with one machine. Thanks to fast switching of the gear stages, interruptions are very short.
- The generous swiveling range in three directions gives considerable freedom and allows the machine to move in any direction.
- The efficiency of the motor is over 90 percent and thus saves considerable energy compared to conventional drives.
Safety
- The soft start protects the material, massively reduces wear and enables ergonomic operation.
- The trays for the handpieces increase their service life, work safety and efficiency.
- The ROTOmax 4.2 TWIN is a sustainable purchase. The very simple maintenance extends the service life and reduces the susceptibility to faults during operation
The way it works
The ROTOMax 4.2 TWIN consists of an electronically controlled DC motor, an operating unit with keypad and display, and a unique electronic control system. It has two mechanical connections for two different sized shafts. The shaft is selected via a gearbox. A changeover lever at the head end switches this over. Via a sensor, the drive unit detects which shaft is working. The electronic control system raises the machine smoothly and without abrupt effect. Shutdown works quickly and with an active brake, which reduces process times. A foot switch with on/off function (dead man's switch) and a mechanical switch on the handpiece are available as external operating elements.
